E-session - Jessica and Stew

After several postponements due to weather I was finally able to get out with Jessica and Stew for their long awaited engagement shoot. Jessica admittedly is a huge fan of this BLOG so I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to live up to her expectations. They both work in the advertising/marketing industry. Stew is the PR manager for Fetch Communications (I love their logo) and Jessica is the Brand Manager for Big Rock, my favourite brewery. She worked on the "upadablock" campaign, which was brilliant. I don't know what they will think of the end product but I had a great time, and she gave me a six pack of beer at the end of the shoot so I figure at least they thought I did a good job eh?

It is no secret that I am a big fan of dripping wet punchy color (or contrasty black and whites), but I just couldn't resist dropping the color out of this and giving it that 70's Polaroid look.

I didn't get the full story, but it sounded like someone bought someone a drink here and the rest is history.

E-session - Laura and Brian

We were recently in Lethbridge and it worked out that Laura and Brian were available for their engagement session. Lethbridge is an amazing location for photo shoots and I wish I had more weddings down there. As always, it was a touch windy.

These two are living in Lethbridge, but their wedding is in Victoria on the August long weekend and I am really excited about photographing them on the west coast.

E-session Julie and Anthony

I went out with Julie and Anthony recently to do some engagement photos for them. It was a bit bleak around town, but these two don't have the luxury of waiting as their wedding is coming up quick. I think their excitement for each other made up for what the city is lacking. We ended up at the Raw Bar in Hotel Arts, where their wedding will be (not actually in the bar). I am really looking forward to what should be a pretty amazing wedding.

Wedding - Michelle and Mike

I was out in Canmore on the weekend for Michelle and Mike's wedding. Mike is a fresh off the boat (er, plane) Brit, so there were a lot of people in attendance with tea drinking skills. I admittedly have a soft spot in my heart for the British, since my heritage is partially Welsh, but I just can't get enough of their warm kindness.

The cheerful bride and her attendants.

"We're getting married!!"

Suzanne loves Michelle's hair and was so excited to see that she didn't have it pinned up in a "wedding bun". I was pretty excited too, because I love how wind combined with hair can add a ton of mood to the photos.

Michelle and Mike = M SQRD. Get it?
