Wedding - Jillian and Scott

This past weekend felt more like I was on a vacation than actually working at a wedding. These two were so, so, so, easy to photograph that I could have kept them out all evening if it wasn't for that damn reception they had to get to :) I had to laugh to myself earlier in the day when Jillian asked me "you can do touch ups right"? It always seem the most photogenic people don't have a clue that they are photogenic. It was also really cool that these two were genuinely nice people, with great families and an easy going wedding party. Thanks guys.

Married!

Sisters.

I love sunny days because you can usually find some great lighting if you hunt around a bit. This is a really simple photo and its all about the light.

Wedding - Karla and Rielly

Last Saturday (August 19th) we photographed Karla and Rielly's wedding. I think Karla is about as sweet as people get. Rielly is a lucky guy. Here are some of the photos.

Week on the Lake

We rented a house on Whitefish last week and had a very relaxing time. Suzanne's parents and her sister and boyfriend were there and they love Kate, so we had built in baby sitters which we took full advantage of. We mainly rode our bikes, ate and slept. Not a whole lot of photography happening, but here is one of Bruce and Kathy watching Jill and Chris in the double Kayak.

Wedding - Leonie and Boyd

Still playing catch up. On the 12th of August I photographed Leonie and Boyd's wedding. We dealt with some weather issues, but it ended up working out alright for them in the end.

BLOGGED down

My apologies to those who check in regularly. We were away on holidays last week, so I am a bit behind with my processing and blogging. I hope to post a few more things this week as I get to it.

So we'll go back almost two weeks now to a neighborhood reunion back in Cranbrook. I was blessed with a story book childhood and every year we try to get together with the "kids" from my old street. Our parents all still live in the same houses, so its not hard to do.

Here is the whole gang minus my brother and his girlfriend who couldn't make it. Now that we are having kids of our own there seems to be a few new heads every year.

E-session - Kim and Kevin

I met up with Kim and Kevin for an engagement session on Tuesday night. These two are getting married at the Cedar Creek Estate Winery near Kelowna on the Labour Day weekend. They were really easy to photograph, so I am excited to be part of their weekend and what will surely be an amazing wedding.

Wedding - Suneeta and Scott

I love photographing weddings in Calgary, but it's nice to get out of town once and a while. I was thrilled to be photographing Suneeta and Scott getting married at the Riverview B&B near Okotoks on Sunday. Suneeta admits to being a maudieblog junkie, so the pressure was on to get something up this week. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I like to try and do a quick portrait session with the bride just before the ceremony starts. Wow, Suneeta looked amazing.

There were some really tall people in the wedding party. One of the bigger guys wanted to demonstrate his cart wheel technique. Who says bridal party shots can't have action.
