I am travelling quite a bit in the fall for weddings and I am really looking forward to Jarret and Tyson's wedding in Sicamous. This week I met up with these two (in Calgary) for a morning shoot, which was lots of fun for me because it allowed me to use locations I can't use in afternoon light.

Wedding - Julie and Cam
It was nice to get out to the mountains for a change of gears. Julie and Cam were married in Canmore last weekend and yes you guessed it, I photographed their wedding!
Even though my daughter is only two, I get really chocked up when I see a dad look at their daughter like this. Enough said.
I was sure that because of the weather Julie and Cam were going to opt for an indoors ceremony, but as you can see I was wrong and so too was the weather office.

I was so excited to make this image for Julie and Cam.

e-session - Katherine and Matt
Last week I met up with Katherine and Matt to do their engagement session and it was pouring rain. They were gracious enough to believe in my un-scientific forecast that it was going to stop raining soon because "the clouds were moving that way". It turned out that it was sunny the whole time after it stopped raining! I loved the range of emotion these two could show me.

Wedding - Deanna and Geoff
Deanna and Geoff were my first couple to book a 2007 date, so their wedding has been a long time coming, but I think it was worth the wait! The weather looked sketchy, but in the end everything worked out well.
Deanna and her sister Carmen (left side) grew up in this house and apparently shared this very room until they were 17! I figured it would be a pretty good place to do a portrait of the girls before the wedding. Keen maudiebloggers will recognize Carmen from her wedding last summer.
Happy couple leaving the ceremony.
The "best man" was named Nancy and no that isn't him on the far left! Sorry Scott, couldn't resist.
"Dude, your cute, but if you put your greasy fingers on my lens I won't be playing with you anymore. Any ways, I think your Treo is ringing."

Wedding - Janelle and Jim
Jim and Janelle had a quaint wedding on Friday afternoon and I was delighted to be able to spend a bit of time with them in Fish Creek Park and at The Ranche. After all the rain, and with the sun out, I was pretty sure we were going to get a pint sucked out of us by the mosquitoes, but they weren't too bad. Janelle and Jim looked great.
